Look at the setting.
Look at the entrance from both sides. Flooring, walls, lighting and furniture offer different references; inside and outside cladding may also address different needs. A photograph of the opening in natural light helps assess the relationships between colours and materials. The result comes from the whole setting, rather than a sample viewed alone.
Establish the exposure.
An indoor entrance, a covered porch and an unprotected facade are different situations. Before choosing, describe exposure to sunlight, rain and weather. Material and finish should be assessed for that position and the particular panel model. A cladding family does not replace a check of the specific product.
Read the surface and pattern.
Grain, relief, grooves and inserts change how a door is perceived. A pattern may complement the proportions of the opening or become its focal point. Compare panel images and, when available, close-up details. To decide on a colour or texture, ask to see a sample: lighting and screens can change the appearance of an image.
Coordinate details and care.
Lever handle, pull handle, knob and frame finish are part of the same composition. Choose them alongside the cladding, considering everyday use and proportions. Ask for cleaning and maintenance instructions relevant to the surface: suitable care depends on the material and finish. Keep the panel and component references in the project documentation.
